THE EUROPEAN PIZZA CHAMPIONSHIP GOES BACK TO MILAN

In October, Host - Milan, the international food service exhibition will host the European Pizza Championship. The event will be centered on pizza and pizzamakers and it will take place on very last two days of the exhibition Host (Oct, 23rd – 24th). Only pizzamakers can take part to the event.

The competition days will be two, on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 October, the awards will be held on Tuesday.
 
The event will take place inside the HALL 1 of Host - stand V11 - Z12.

Rules and Regulations

  • The event will award the best pizzamaker to prepare a pizza with ingredients and dough mix of free choice, provided standing by the rules and regulations given by the Organization. 
 
  • No pan pizza, focaccia, panozzi, stuffed pizzas, sweet pizza, Roman pizza will be admitted whereas only round pizzas. 
 
  • The evaluation criteria will be baking and toppings.
 
  • Each competitor will have 15 minutes time in order to make, season, bake and show the judges his pizza. Pizza displays are admitted but not voted.
 
  • Each competitor should be wearing a professional uniform, bearing no company’s names, if the competitor has no other uniform, he will be given one by the organization.
 
  • Each competitor will have to spread out, top and bake his own pizza, with no help. The staff will point out any possible breach of conduct, which will lead to penalty or scratch from the event.
 
  • With respect to the other participants, the work area, the laboratory and the jury desk will have to be cleaned out. The staff will point out breach of conduct and they could assess negatively the negligence of the competitor.
 
  • The event starts strictly at 10.30 a.m., Monday Oct. 23 and they will end at 02.30 p.m. of Tuesday 24, any unmotivated delay could result in a scratch. 
 
  • Different runs will be decided by drawing lots. The Organization reserves the right to make any changes to improve the performance of the event itself.
 
  • The Jury's judgment is final and unappealable. Video tests are not allowed.
